FOR REGISTERED SATURDAY & SUNDAY PARTICIPANTS:
If you did not receive a request to change your day from our system, this means that your selected date has been accepted. Please proceed to come and register for signing in on the day that you have selected.

NOTE: Some of the email servers may have been blocking our communication (as SPAM) so please inform your friends who are may not be aware this.

Also, there are some participants who have raised several questions to the way the RULES have been changed. We are kindly replying every inquiry and we aim to meet the best of all concerned. Every measure that we are taking have been considered carefully.

As for those concerned about raining on Saturday and if this should happen, we would definitely look into it with all our compassion.

We have set up areas of convenience for participants. These include mobile toilets, drinking water, marshals, first aid etc. We treat this as a great event for all participants and every party involved, so please do not worry about these arrangements.

On "NOT" allowing photographers to turn up at any time they want, this is a private compound and accessible by permission. The RULES are decided in this manner as we need to coordinate quite a number of participants. SAFETY, SECURITY & EFFICIENCY for everyone is our priority.

Dear Registered Participants,
We have so far received more than 460 registrations, which is three times more than expected.

Due to this overwhelming response and after much discussion and consideration with all parties involved, we are now going to request all participants to choose either a Saturday or Sunday only.

As much as we can assure you and by allowing a split for the total number of participants to enter the compound per day, we are attempting to do this for the convenience and comfort of each participant. Otherwise or should we say, you will most likely get into each other's focal range.

We are well aware of the short time frame to inform you and we truly apologize for any inconvenience. To ensure that we are aware which day you would now like to select, we need all registered participants to follow these instructions carefully (as for those who are assisting friends who are not familiar with the online registration, kindly call, advice or assist them to do so):


You are now requested to choose either the Saturday OR Sunday for the photo shoot.


On a first come basis,we will limit to a maximum of 230 participants per day. This will be based on us receiving the ONLINE FORM below (which you will be using to register for your preferred day).


By selecting either one of the days would mean that you have to arrive between 7.30am and 8.30am to register your attendance.


During the registration period, we will be providing you with the PARTICIPANT ENTRY PASS, Site Map with activities stated, the rules that you have to follow while you are in the compound of the Planters Haven and the Photo Submission Forms. Participants can stay up till 8.00 pm on either night.


Flag-off time is scheduled at 9.00am on 9th June 2007 ONLY.

Only the best photos submitted will be selected for the Malaysia In 24 Hrs "A Day Of Photographic Memory - Haven On My Mind" limited edition coffee table book. Each photographer whose submitted photo is included in this coffee table book (at least one) will receive one (1) complimentary copy of the book. The publisher reserves the right to market this book to recover its production cost. As for the photographers' whose photo/s is/are featured, they can get to order additional copies at 50% off the Retail Price within 2 weeks from the launch date of the book. Thus far, our planned Retail Price for the Malaysia In 24 Hrs "A Day Of Photographic Memory" series is at RM 49.00 per book.

Response to Questions forwarded to us: The copyright of the image(s) is owned by the photographer as mentioned in RULES & REGULATION - "Participants must own the copyright of all images submitted.".

Please bring your National Identity Card and produce it during registration. We have strict entry procedures to the Planters' Haven compound on both days and surprise checks will be conducted throughout the day. All done in good faith for security and safety.

Buntings will be placed immediately after Nilai Toll and all the way towards Planters' Haven.

    On The 2 Days Of The Photo Challenge

    The photo challenge will begin at 9.00am on the 1st Day. On the 2nd Day, participants can arrive as early as 6.00am. Photography time will end at 8.00pm on both days. Participants can choose either one or both days to get their best photos. The first day attendance is compulsory.

    Topics for the photo challenge are as follow:

    • Nature
    • Landscape
    • Lifestyle

    There is no limit on the number of photo entries per participant.

    For the convenience of Food & Beverages, we are arranging for a caterer to be stationed at the Planters' Haven compound. Participants can either purchase from this caterer or exit anytime to neighbouring locations for meals, etc.
     
    Rules & Regulations

    • This challenge is open to all amateur and professional photographers. Both analog & digital cameras are allowed.

    • Participants must own the copyright of all images submitted. The Organizer accepts no liabilities for any breach of copyright by any entrant.

    • All photographs submitted must be from this venue and taken during the competition time and dates and have not won prizes in other contests or have been previously published.

    • No digital super-imposition is allowed. Only minor photo touch-up such as cropping, adjustment of brightness and colour as well as softening or sharpening the images are allowed. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify entries that have undergone modifications, eg. cut & paste and adding in non-original elements onto the participating photo.

    • The decision of the judges shall be final. No further correspondence shall be entertained.

    • All entries shall become the property of the Organizer and will not be returned.

    • The Organizer reserves the right to use these photographs in any media of publicity they deem fit.

    • All photo entries must be submitted with the Malaysia In 24Hrs "Haven On My Mind" Photo Challenge Entry Form. These will be provided on the 1st day of the competition.

    • Each photo entry should include the date and a short description of the picture taken (this does not influence the judging decision).

    • The Organizing Committee and judges reserve the right to disqualify any entry / entries which are not in compliance to this competition Rules & Regulations or otherwise.

    • All shortlisted finalists will be notified within 1 day after the preliminary judging date by phone or email. Participants must ensure the details provided in the entry forms are correct, especially the contact phone number.

    • Proof of postage is not proof of submission. The Organizer will not be responsible for entries lost or damaged through post. Entrants are responsible to ensure the packaging of photo submissions are well-protected.

    • Prizes in the form of products are not exchangeable for cash or other prizes of similar value nor is it transferable.

    • The Organizer reserves the right to change or modify any of the Rules & Regulations without prior notice.

    Mode Of Entry To The Competition

    • There is no entry fee to this competition.

    • The entry requirement is stated above unless specified from time to time as determined by the Organizer.

    • There is no limit on the number of entries per participant.

    • All photos must be printed and accompanied by original negatives, slide or soft copy of Original Image in jpeg or tiff file on CD.

    • Judging will be conducted based on prints. Colour or Black & White prints are acceptable. All prints must be 8" x 10"(8R) and include the details of the photograph and photographer as specified above.

    • Do not mount the photos submitted.
